The Challenge
ADS had acquired a new premises on the Team Valley. After doing renovations to the building ADS found that the new office in its current state wasn’t suitable for their IT infrastructure to be brought in. The wiring around the building was of poor quality as well as areas of the building not having any wiring at all. Having experienced downtime issues in the past ADS knew that from day one they wanted this new venture to go smoothly with as little downtime as possible.
The previous wiring was also poorly managed around the site with wires all over presenting many safety hazards as well as just not looking professional for any clients visiting the building.

The Solution
David Wilson one of Smart IT’s Account Managers met with ADS at their new premises to gain a better understanding of their building and the infrastructure already in place. After reviewing the site Smart IT were contracted by ADS to install a new line into the building, manage and install cabling around the premises, move and set up their existing server in the new building.
Smart IT also agreed to have an engineer on site and available if any issues were to arise.
Conclusion
Thanks to the time Smart IT had on site before the move day we were able to rewire the building and cable manage using trunking throughout the building to eliminate the ugly wiring ADS were looking to avoid. Once the big move day finally came around ADS were able to move location and set up with only around 2-3 hours of downtime which was to be expected due to the server move and re-installation. Any small issues that occurred on site were fixed quickly thanks to our engineer on site.
