Over the Easter holidays Smart IT have been collecting donations for the “Feeding Families” charity.
Feeding Families is a registered charity established in 2018. With 8.4 million people in the UK experiencing food poverty, Feeding Families’ key goal is bringing communities together in these challenging times when some families struggle to make ends meet. There are numerous and often complex reasons why this happens, it impacts people of every age, from all social backgrounds.
Feeding Families is based in the North East of England and have just moved to their new Head Quarters in Blaydon. The charity started by supporting communities at Christmas by providing hampers for the festive period. The charity now runs projects throughout the year. Their ‘Emergency Food Boxes’ provide food that will support 2 people for 3 days. They a need a constant supply of food so they can support those in need in our local communities.
