We have purchased a new 0330 telephone number to replace our 0845 463 1982 telephone number, which will mean cheaper calls for our customers when contacting us.
The 0845 was first introduced as a non-geographical telephone number, but priced at the same rate to call as a local telephone number, hence the phrase ‘local rate’ telephone number. However, telephone companies have gradually increased the price to call 0845 numbers and also removed these numbers from your free minutes, meaning our customers are having to pay more to call us.
To overcome these rising 0845 calling rates, Ofcom have released the 0330 number range. Telecom companies must charge the same rates for 0330 numbers as they do for local numbers, and if you have free calls to local numbers, 0330 numbers must also be free.
Our new telephone number is 0330 223 3525. Calling this number will cost you exactly the same as calling a local number such as any number beginning with 0191, if you have free calls to local numbers calls to our new telephone will also be free.
Our 0845 463 1982 number will continue to work although customers are encouraged to use our new lower rate number 0330 223 3525.
